Baccalaureate Programs

Lake-Sumter State College received approval in 2012 from the Florida College System of the State Department of Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) to award baccalaureate degrees tailored to meet specific local and regional workforce needs.

In January 2013, LSSC began its first baccalaureate degree program, the Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) in Organizational Management (O.M.). This program is designed to prepare students for entry and advancement in careers in public, private, and not-for-profit organizations. Students may apply for admission after completing an Associate in Arts (A.A.) or an Associate in Science (A.S.) degree or the equivalent from a Florida College or other regionally accredited institution.
