  • We ask that recruiters please plan on having their table setup by 9:15am (event begins at 9:30am) and that they please plan on being available to job seekers for the entire duration of the event. Keep in mind that attendees will be arriving in waves due to class schedules.

Breakfast

Tips for Successful Recruiting at the Career Fair

Before the Fair

  • Submit your current job postings to our College Central Network system to aid in advertising your visit to prospective candidates.

During the Fair

  • Put your best foot forward: Bring a professional tabletop/backdrop display and handout materials to showcase your organization as a great place to work.
  • First impressions count: Stand in front of your table and greet students as they walk by. Plan to stay for the whole event… many students are balancing the event with a full class schedule and may be arriving in the last hour of an event.
  • Stay connected: Bring plenty of business cards, literature and small promotional items so students can "take you with them" even after the fair.

After the Fair

  •  Let us know what you think: Be sure to complete the Career Fair evaluation that will be provided at the event. We're always interested in hearing your feedback and suggestions for improving the event.
  • Follow-up with Job Seekers: Stay in touch with prospective candidates in a timely manner and let them know the status of their application.
  • Keep in touch: Continue to connect with Career Development Services for all your recruiting needs, i.e., post current job openings, schedule on-campus recruitment visits and more.

**Employers should note that though our primary Career Fair marketing was targeted at our students and alumni, this event may also attract general members of our local communities.**
