10 Easy Enrollment Steps
Follow this timeline and complete each step by its priority date to be assured the best selection of courses.

Apply for Financial Aid Scholarships Federal and State Financial Aid (352) 365-3567 FinAid@lssc.edu Students who meet federal and state income eligibility requirements may be qualified to receive financial aid to help pay for college expenses. The process for determining eligibility can take several weeks, so it is strongly recommended that students begin the process well in advance of the deadline date. This includes submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov and submitting all required documents. Students who have not done so will be required to pay their fees and wait for reimbursement, provided they qualify for aid.

Scholarships may be granted on the basis of academic ability, special talent (art, music, theatre, etc.), and/or financial need. Apply for Admission (352) 365-3665 Students must submit a LSSC application for admission before registering for classes. Since most students must complete additional steps in order to register, it is important to submit the application early. Applications are accepted up until the application deadline. All applications submitted after the deadline will be processed for the following term. Please see the Admissions web page for more information and application deadlines.
NOTE: Residency for tuition purposes is determined based on information provided on the application for admission. Be sure to submit all documentation required to determine residency at that time. Apply for Foundation Scholarships (352) 365-3539 Through the generosity of our community, LSSC is able to offer a variety of scholarships to our students who meet different criteria from financial need, academic achievement and major. Students who wish to apply for a LSSC scholarship must submit a Scholarship Application to the Foundation by the deadline date. For the Fall Semester, applications are available during the month of May, for the Spring Semester, in October; and for the Summer Semester Scholarships are available March. Applications are available online at http://www.lssc.edu/foundation/scholarships.aspx. |

Submit Transcripts and Official Documents New students must submit official verification of graduation from high school (official high school transcript or GED certificate). Transfer students must submit official transcripts from their high school, as well as all previously attended colleges. Students who have earned credit through the CLEP or AP exam must also have those scores submitted to LSSC directly from the College Board. Any official transcripts provided directly from the student must remain in the original sealed envelope provided by the previous institution(s). |

Take the Placement Test (352) 365-3554 Students required to take the Placement Test:
- New students
- Transfer students who have not completed English and/or math
- Non-degree seeking students who want to take a general education course

All first-time-in-college students are required to participate in New Student Orientation (NSO) before being permitted to register for classes. Develop Your Schedule for the Upcoming Semester (352) 365-3574 Leesburg * (352) 243-5722 South Lake * (352) 568-0001 Sumter — Advising Offices All new first-time in college students will meet with an Academic Advisor in a group advising session as part of their New Student Orientation requirement. New transfer students are encouraged to participate in New Student Orientation but may schedule an individual advising appointment as well. Transfer students are required to bring unofficial copies of ALL college transcripts when they meet with an Advisor prior to registering for classes. |

Pay Your Fees Fees for the 2012-2013 academic year are $104.73 per credit hour for Florida residents and $441.54 per credit hour for non-Florida residents. Payments can be made through LOIS, or at the cashier desk in the student services building. |

Purchase your books and get your Parking decal Books can be purchased at the Bookstore located in the Student Center at the Leesburg campus. A schedule of Bookstore dates for the South Lake and Sumter campus is available at each campus and the bookstore website. Parking decals can be obtained by the receptionist at each campus. |
