Lake-Sumter Community College offers intercollegiate athletics in three sports for both men and women. The LSCC Athletic Program competes in Women's Volleyball, Women's Fast-Pitch Softball, and Men's Baseball. The College competes as a Division 1 program in the Mid-Florida Conference and Sun Coast Conference of the Florida Community College Activities Association (FCCAA). The FCCAA is governed by the rules of the National Junior Community College Athletic Association (NJCAA), of which Lake-Sumter is a member. The athletic program is built on the same principles that have made Lake-Sumter the Community College of Central Florida. Intercollegiate athletics has become an integral part of student life on campus and contributes to the continued excellence of LSCC. The program offers scholarships to local student-athletes who have excelled academically and athletically during their high school careers.
