Dennis Jochims

Hi! Welcome to my LSCC home page. Most of the information you'll need for your work in my courses will be found on the various pages that are part of this website. You just need to know where to go to find the information you seek.

CLASS AND OFFICE SCHEDULE

On this page, you'll find the link to my class and office schedule.  If you need to find me, consult it for information on my class schedule and my schedule of office hours.

The navigation menu in the gray box at the left contains links to the other important pages you'll need to consult.

SYLLABUS

The first page you should visit is the Syllabus page. Click on the Syllabus link and locate the syllabus for your specific course.  You'll need the course number and the 5-digit CRN. You need to read the syllabus entirely.  It doesn't make for interesting reading, but it explains policies affecting your performance in and participation in my class. Some policies govern grades; some affect matters such as attendance or behavior in class.  Several of them could seriously affect your grade or evn cause failure of the course.

HANDOUTS AND OTHER COURSE MATERIALS

The next page you need to be familiar with now and throughout the course is the course page.  In the navigation menu, you will find a link labeled with the course number, CRN, and name of your course. Clicking on it will take you to the main page for your particular course.  There you'll find handouts, assignments, etc. posted throughout the semester.

It is your responsibility to check this page regularly and to be familiar with any materials posted there.  You should check it early enough between classes to allow yourself time to become familiar with new handouts.

 NOTICE:

If you miss the first day of class in any of my courses, you definitely must go to the Syllabus page and read through the entire document for your course section, taking note of all policies and how they can affect you in the course.

Having missed this discussion in class, you are now responsible for making certain you understand them because they do apply to you fully.

If after the reading you have questions, be sure to clarify them with me.
